The Mehler Family
in Anacortes

George and Sue Mehler had a vision of preserving nature, and spent years adding to their family plot to protect the surrounding land. They engaged with the Skagit Land Trust years ago and that collaboration continues to this day.

The Mehler family would like to brainstorm ways to share this beautiful property with scientists, schools, and community members, perhaps adding a structure with a classroom and lab space. The brainstorming will evolve this vision across 2025; we are excited about what we can create together.
